Since God is the creator and sustainer of the Universe, the theme "The Great I AM: Our Unsearchable God" is surely the most significant of themes. Rarely, if ever has a Bible lectureship been devoted exclusively to such a theme. Our general purpose is to explore the existence and nature of God. Specifically, we hope to examine closely his person and work including such concepts as his fatherhood, providence, and will. Although there are many theoretical considerations to examine, the lectureship committee wishes to emphasize that the theme has many practical implications; thus, we wish to demonstrate how theory relates to practice.
