The Cross and the Church

From the introduction: [The] purpose [of the book] is to show, in several ways, that no approach to the nature of the church can be scriptural unless it involves a consideration of the relationship of the gospel of redemption to the church. As we approach the doctrine of the church in the light of the doctrine of the cross, we shall not only be instructed as to the nature of the church, but we shall also be motivated to live in the light of this knowledge.
