Victory! The book of Revelation assures Christians of the final triumph of God over Satan. Those who remain faithful will share in God’s victory with the eternal life. While the message is clear, the imagery of Revelation is unusual to modern readers. Dr. W. B. West, Jr. insists that the best way to study Revelation is through first-century glasses. This method includes investigating the author's purpose in writing and the understanding of the original first – century of readers to the message. Although themes of the Bible apply to every generation, they become clearer when understood through the glasses of the original audience. To Dr. West, the key verse was Revelation 11:15: "The kingdoms of this world are becoming the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ: and he shall reign forever and ever.” That is the victory!
